Wonderland

Welcome to my Wonderland!
Happy Birthday, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson!
(Alter-ego of Lewis Carroll)
Only a month until the birthday of Alice in Wonderland's illustrator,
John Tenniel!

And, of course, I'm celebrating that the power is back on, the sun is out, and John is heading home, perhaps to plow if the tractor battery does its share of the work and the snow is not too wet and heavy.

O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
(She) he chortled in his  (her) joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
  Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
  And the mome raths outgrabe.

I'm home and the tractor could make tracks to walk in down to where I had to leave my car, but couldn't move this 10 inch heavy sludge of snow! We are marooned for a while.

"Why it's simply impassible!
Alice: Why, don't you mean impossible?
Door: No, I do mean impassible. (chuckles) Nothing's impossible!"
— Lewis Carroll (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass)

This seems fitting for you two today, celebrating Lewis Carroll's birthday!

How apropos, my beamish girl! (As my dad would have said, before breaking into a recitation of Jabberwocky, or The Walrus and the Carpenter, or another passage from Alice.)

But our road? "Why it's simply impassible!"

That's why I'm staying home again today!
